Candy Cigarettes are Bad for You

My memoir is a work of love which is very much in progress at this moment. The process is long and it is arduous, but I pour out my heart about all the things that happened during the first year after my father's death from Leukemia, in 1974. As an only child, and fourteen at the time, I faced this tumultuous time with my mother. She says she thought of us as "You and me against the world." We made quite a pair all right and so far my test readers are finding this coming of age in the seventies, grief at fourteen, mother-daughter story to be "engaging and insightful."

At some point I will post excerpts on this site and take pre-orders. For now, keep this project in your prayers and check this page periodically for development. I look forward to extending encouragement and hope to women out there, young and old, who have suffered loss in their lives. The story also addresses the subject of teen rape as well as self esteem issues common to girls everywhere. It is bound to touch your heart and change your life or the life of someone you know.
